Week of April 18th
Weekly Homework- Due Friday, April 22nd
Reading: Read for 15 minutes and record on log.
Writing: Answer this question in your homework notebook once: What is the main idea of the story or chapter you read? What is the most important message about the topic of your story? Ask yourself this: What is being said about the person, thing, or idea? Math: Exemplar
Spelling: Choose ONE (or more)
-ABC order
-Choose 5 spelling words and create a sentence for each
-Menu Activity

During the week of April 18th the students will continue to read persuasive books, and analyze the text features of different persuasive letters. The children will be identifying what is being persuaded using different examples of letters. The children will write response letters to the main characters. We will analyze the main idea in each letter and/or story. For writing, the children will be continuing their final draft of their persuasive letter and create self reflections and have buddy edits. In math, we are reviewing certain chapters of “Book B” based on the data from our assessment. Spelling: Week #23- Vowel Clusters: /ou/, /ow/
