Week of March 21st
Weekly Homework- Due Thursday, March 24th
Reading: Read for 15 minutes and record on log.
Writing: Answer this question in your homework notebook twice: Choose a book, after you read your book, write if you would recommend this book to someone else or not. Why would you? Give reasons. Math: Exemplar
Spelling: NO SPELLING THIS WEEK

During the week of March 21st the students will continue to read the book, “Dear Mrs. LaRue”. We will be studying the different text features of persuasive letters and identifying the differences between characters in the book. We will compare and contrast the different characters to ourselves and to each other. The children will be identifying what is being persuaded using different examples of letters. For writing, the children are learning about the different components of a persuasive letter. They will begin their first draft of their persuasive letter. In math, we are continuing chapter 19:Money-This week we will be focusing on penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. *Reminders:

• Please return your child’s report card if you have not

• Class Trip- Thursday, March 24th to Materials for the Arts, Please return signed permission slip if you have not!!!

• March Madness Week is March 21-24: Monday-Crazy Hair Day, Tuesday-Twin Day, Wednesday-Fashion Disaster, Thursday-Sports Day

• Friday, March 25th- NO SCHOOL
