Week of February 29th

Week of February 29, 2016

Reading- We will continue to review and discuss other biographies using “Reader’s Theater.” In doing this, the students learn about parts of a play and the roles involved. They break out into small groups and read/act out the play on their own.

Writing- We will be writing peer and self reflections on our writing. This involves each students reflecting upon their own biography and their classmates.

Math- The students will continue to learn how to multiply and divide using word problems. They will work on solving problems and explaining their solutions.

Social Studies- In Social Studies, we will be sharing our winter break homework on how NY landmarks looked then and now. We also will be going online and watching videos of each landmark to learn more about them.

Science- We will continue to learn about Force and Motion. We will be focusing on magnets.
