Week of February 1st

Week of February 1, 2016

Reading- We will review and discuss our reading about Helen Keller as part of our Biography unit. We will review her life and important facts and events. WE will compare Helen Keller to John F. Kennedy using thinking maps.

Writing- We will be using our biography research to learn more about our famous person. We will be taking our information from our tree maps and start drafting the middle of our biographies.

Math- The students will continue to learn how to divide using pictures to guide us.

Social Studies- In Social Studies, we will continue to learn about how New York City changed over time. We will focus on the early years of our city.

Science- We will continue to learn about Force and Motion. We will focus on how things move and what makes them move. We will discuss push and pull.
