THURSDAY:
Reading: Read for 10 minutes and record it on your reading log. Writing: Weekly Journal entry due on Friday.
Spelling: Study for tomorrow’s spelling test.
Math: Complete the math problems.

Reading: We are enjoying the nonfiction unit on animals. We will continue to learn about text features, interesting facts about animals, and how to work and learn from members in our reading groups.

Writing: For our nonfiction writing unit, we have been working hard on our drafts about our animals. Once we are done with our drafts, we will work on finding fascinating facts about our animals. We enjoy working collaboratively with members in our writing groups.

Math: We will continue the unit on numbers to 20. We will count, compare, and order numbers to 20. We are going to count on from 10 to 20, as well as read and write 11 to 20 in numbers and words. We will also use a place- value chart to show numbers up to 20. We will also compare numbers.

Phonics: We are going to work on the words in the “ill“ family.

Grammar: This week we will concentrate on the verbs ‘has’ and ‘have.’

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Our annual Toy Drive will end this week. Please bring in a new, unwrapped toy. Thank you.

If you have not already done so, please send in the signed trip slip WITH the $6 in an envelope. Chaperones will be notified by November 30th.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Class trip to LaGuardia Community College to see Moosletoe is on Monday, December 7th. Trip slips and $6 were due by Monday, November 30th.

The next PTA meeting is on Thursday, December 9th at 7:40am.
