Week of November 30th

Weekly Homework- Due Friday, December 4th

Reading: Read for 15 minutes and record on log.

Writing: Answer these questions in your homework notebook:

1-We have been practicing the strategies of Reciprocal Reading (predicting, questioning, clarifying, summarizing). Choose a book and make a prediction before reading. During/after reading, choose one other strategy that you can practice while reading your chosen book.


-Chapter 14 Exemplar Review
-Math Test Friday, December 4th
Spelling: Test Friday, December 4th
-ABC Order
-Choose 3 words and create 3 sentences
-Menu Activity

We are practicing rhyming endings:

During the week of November 30th the students will continue to practice “Reciprocal Reading”, which are reading strategies to help become stronger readers. During reciprocal reading students are learning to predict, question, clarify, and summarize. We are reading the non-fiction book, “Dolphins and Sharks” and the students will implement these strategies while listening to the read aloud.

For writing, children are conferencing with their first draft of their Animal All About writing piece. In math, we are continuing to learn mental addition and subtraction. There will be a test on Friday, December 4th.

-If you have not sent in your permission slip and $6 for our trip, please do so by Wednesday, December 2nd.
